Press On Marriage Ministry of Parkview Christian Church will be offering a Bible study for couples, and the focus will be on building up your spouse. The ministry team launched its first Bible study for married couples in the summer of 2016. It has scheduled a marriage event for Feb. 24-25, 2017, and to keep the momentum going, it is offering this new study that begins March 25, 2017. Doug and Jodi Casper will be leading this study.
Editor’s note: This is a past event, therefore registration is closed.
Press On will again be using Family Life’s Art of Marriage materials. The “Building Up Your Spouse” study by Dennis and Barbara Rainey runs 7 sessions. The plan is to meet every other Saturday night from 6-8 p.m. The cost of the class is $15 per couple, and it includes the cost of study books for each couple.
Here is a little about the class from Family Life:
When so many marriages are falling apart, you can pull yours together by encouraging each other through love, support and affirmation. Couples who bring out the best in each other build security and trust in their relationship. Your spouse needs things that only you can give. By learning what these are, and how to give them, you can bring fresh life into your marriage. Both of you will discover how to lift each other up and cheer each other on. This 7-session small-group study for couples will encourage you to put the past in a healthy perspective; give each other room to try, fail and try again; and be accepted and accepting.
Discover the safety and happiness of a nourishing marriage through Building Up Your Spouse.
The Art of Marriage Connect Series has been developed to help build marriages according to God’s design. Each study focuses on real-life topics, practical application and biblical truth. Whether newlyweds, empty nesters or somewhere in between, connect with other couples–and find encouragement and growth for your marriage.
